Sacred Heart has officially reached the Christmas Crew milestone! 🎄✨ Our teachers and students were ready and excited for the Advent Concert, bringing their festive spirit and talent to the stage. Throughout the term students were given the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a beautiful moment of healing and grace. As they reflect on the Gospel passage of ‘The Lost Sheep’ (Luke 15:3-7), they are reminded that no matter how far we may stray, God’s love for us is unending and He is always ready to welcome us back with open arms. For these students, this sacrament marks a profound moment of personal renewal—experiencing the forgiveness of God and the peace that comes with it. Just as the shepherd rejoices when he finds his lost sheep, so too does God rejoice in their return. Through this sacrament, they are empowered to grow in faith, make better choices, and experience the transformative power of God's mercy. A special thank you to Fr. Walter for guiding us through this beautiful celebration and helping these students encounter God’s boundless love and forgiveness. On the 9th December, members of the school choir and the Liturgy team came together to spread Christmas joy at Cabrini Nursing Home and Aged Care Facility. Through singing carols and sharing Christmas cards, they were able to bring some festive cheer and remind everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season. It was a beautiful opportunity to share the love of Christ and make this Christmas season brighter for the elderly. To commemorate the Feast of All Saints and All Souls, classes celebrated a Liturgy in their classrooms today. Today we are reminded that we can all be saints. God encourages us to be like the saints every day by following Jesus’ commandment of ‘love another, as I have loved you’. Tomorrow is the feast of All Souls. Death is not the end but the beginning of new life- with God. Take some time especially tomorrow to remember those that have passed. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
