I would like to welcome you to the Sacred Heart Primary website.
We are a small community where staff, parents and parish work together to support the spiritual, academic, social, physical, and creative development of each child.
We are on a journey of school transformation. We are creating a culture of ‘Deep Connected Learning’ (DCL) that is profound, empowering and continually emerging.
The framework underpins student and staff engagement, interactions and learning. We have 4 pillars that are mutually dependent and offer a holistic approach to learning. The 4 pillars include:
- Our Catholic Faith (forming committed disciples of Jesus Christ)
- Kagan Cooperative Learning (creating positive interdependence and individual accountability)
- The 4C Capabilities (Communication, Collaboration, Critical reflection, Creativity)
- The Learning Disposition Wheel (Cognitive, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal domains)
Our aim is to foster curiosity, spark the imagination, develop agency and the dispositions for life-long learning. We teach children how to relate to others, how to make quality choices and how to learn.
Our staff members are dedicated and hardworking. Parent involvement in the school is welcomed and appreciated. Our parents are wonderfully supportive and our children's love of learning inspires us all.
We hope that when our students leave the school they will be people of faith, love and compassion. Jesus opened his heart to others. We want our students to live out, in their daily lives, the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
